Tim Hill should sit out 2020

Even though all players and coaches are at risk of getting the coronavirus, some players are at higher risks than others. For the Royals, it’s Tim Hill. Hill suffers from Lynch syndrome and is a cancer survivor, colon cancer to be exact. If you don’t know what Lynch syndrome is, go to https://www.cancer.net/cancer-types/lynch-syndrome for more information. Even though the Royals are going to keep a close eye on Hill, I still don’t think it’s a risk they should take with him. As we all know, Hill wants to play in 2020 along with the other players in the league. Yes, Hill would miss one season, but I would rather he be safe than sorry. I can guess many of you feel the same way about this as I do. Not only do I think Tim Hill should sit out, but I think other players who have a higher risk of getting COVID-19 should sit out as well. If Hill does sit out, who would replace him in the bullpen? There are a lot of options for the Royals in that area. For me, Kyle Zimmer comes to mind when talking about potential bullpen arms for the Royals. Another pitcher who comes to mind is Jake Newberry. Last season, Newberry posted a 3.77 ERA in 31 innings pitched for the Royals. Let’s hope Tim Hill and the Royals make the right decision.
