Should the Royals move Mondesi to the outfield?

I know I am probably off my hinges but what if the Royals moved Adalberto Mondesi to the outfield?

I think it’s something to think about. As we all know, Mondesi has great speed. He doesn’t have the strongest arm in the league either though. But his speed could help him in the outfield. With a lot of the outfielders in the Royals organization, I don’t believe most of them are ready for the big leagues. Second, since he has speed, I don’t want him wasting it at shortstop. Let’s not forget about his injury history at shortstop. His age is another good reason to maybe consider when moving him to the outfield. Remember he’s only 24, almost 25, so age is on his side. Wouldn’t it be cool if maybe Adalberto played his younger brother Randel in the future. Not to mention that his brother is an outfielder in the Chicago White Sox organization, so there would be a chance they could face each other pretty often. If Mondesi moved to the outfield, I would consider him a utility player just like I consider Alex Gordon. I could see him play left field after Gordon decides to hang up his cleats. Unfortunately that time is coming. But wait, who would play shortstop while Mondesi is in the outfield and the minor leaguers are still developing you ask? We have many options there. Nicky Lopez would be my number one choice. There are two reasons for this. Number one reason is he played shortstop at Creighton University. He also played some shortstop in Omaha. My second option would be Humberto Arteaga. Despite his bat skills I still think he could play shortstop. He would be an average shortstop but that’s all we would need until we found a replacement. My third and final option to play shortstop would be Kelvin Gutiérrez. I can guess most of you didn’t know that Gutiérrez was signed out of the Dominican Republic as a shortstop and he has experience playing shortstop along with many other infield positions in Omaha.
