1-0 Victories

On August 23, 2016, the Royals played their first game of a three-game series against the Marlins in Miami. The Royals won the game, their ninth in a row, by the score of 1-0. This game was the 7,602nd game in franchise history and the result of this game was quite a rare event. A victory by a score of 1-0 has only 62 times in franchise history, less than 1% of the games that have ever been played. The last time this happened was on September 5, 2014 when James Shields and Wade Davis combined for a 1-0 shutout of the Yankees in New York.
